Yoga Class Descriptions
Our classes include both traditional Hatha and Vinyasa practices as well as specialized classes. Our teachers are highly knowledgeable and are happy to answer any questions you have. Follow your instructor on social media to stay up-to-date with classes and special events.
Hatha
Balance designed by steadiness in strength and mental focus. A combination of seated, standing and reclining postures, with breathwork. Inversions and arm balances can be practiced upon request.
Vinyasa
Pairs breath with movement in a flowing meditation designed to build heat, strength, and endurance. Advanced arm balances and inversions may be explored so it is recommended to try one of the following classes first: Slow Flow Vinyasa, Deep Stretch and Distress, Hatha and Meditation, Yoga For Flexibility.
Yin
Slow moving, nourishing complement to the fast and fiery yang of Power Yoga. Instead of vinyasas, balances and core work, deep stretches are held for up to 5 minutes with the aim of finding release in the body. Either seated or lying down, enjoy deeply healing postures. As tension is released, observe improved energy flow throughout the body. Wear cozy and comfy clothing, and float out of class with a new sense of calm.
Yoga for Flexibility
Whether you are an athlete or just a person wanting to gain more flexibility for day to day activities this class is for you. Gentle yoga postures & stretches will decrease your risk of injury, increase blood flow to the muscles, improve postural misalignments and reduce stress.
